On Nov. 9, 2021, WATCP and the UW School of Pharmacy hosted a joint virtual discussion on Injectable Naltrexone with pharmacists.

Follow up to a question asked:

“In terms of pharmacists who offer injectable naltrexone services, the best source may be the Alkermes website (https://www.vivitrol.com/alcohol-dependence/find-a-treatment-provider). That said I do know that the pharmacies represented on the webinar today provide naltrexone injections to clients in their community.”

“In addition to these pharmacies, I know that Hometown Pharmacy in Beaver Dam, Hometown Pharmacy in Janesville, Bentley Pharmacy (Eric Jachthuber), Genoa Pharmacy in Racine (Lisa Boehner), Fitchburg Family Pharmacy in Madison, Evergreen Pharmacy, and the Hayat Pharmacies in the Milwaukee area either currently or have provided injections in the past. I believe that pharmacists with the Ho-Chunk Nation may also provide this service; however, it may be limited to tribal members. In terms of Sublocade, Genoa Healthcare is a licensed REMS provider and some pharmacists with Genoa have provided the injections.”
