Dear TAD-Funded Treatment Court and Diversion Program Project Leaders, Stakeholders, and Friends:
We are kicking off our process for agencies to apply for TAD (Treatment Alternatives and Diversion) grant funds for calendar year 2027. Attached for your information and use, please find the TAD Pre-Application Form and TAD Pre-Application Guidelines Memo, which contains guidelines for completing the Form and further information regarding the overall application process. Also, attached please find Appendix A, which lists the counties and tribes that received 2026 TAD grant awards, the amount of those awards, and the amount of match contributions.
All Wisconsin counties and tribes are eligible to apply for the $10,688,900 available. To be considered, counties and tribes must complete a pre-application form and submit no later than July 2, 2026, by 5pm. Funding categories are listed below and detailed within the TAD Pre-Application Guidelines Memo.
* Category #1: Implemented Programs – (Existing CY2026 TAD-Funded Programs)
* Category #2: New Program (Diversion or Treatment Court)
* Category #3: Expansion or Enhancement Funds (Diversion or Treatment Court)
* Category #4: Implemented Programs – Non-TAD Funded in CY2026 (Diversion or Treatment Court)
