A new webinar hosted by SAMHSA’s Gains Center will focus on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in Drug Courts. The free webinar features three experts on the topic, and will take place February 24, 2020 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. eastern time.

According to program materials, research indicates current high rates of opioid use disorder among drug court participants nationally; however, there are gaps in the availability of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in many drug court programs.

In this webinar, participants will hear three perspectives on common implementation barriers experienced by drug courts implementing the offering of MAT services and how to address these barriers. The themes of funding, stigma, education, training, and partnerships will be covered.
